Eligibility Requirements for American Legion Membership
If you are currently on active duty, serving the United States honorably, anywhere in the world, or have served honorably during any of the following eligible war eras, we invite you to become a member of The American Legion. National Guard and Reservists who were federally activated (including basic training) during the same war eras also meet the eligibility requirements.
|
With 2019's Congressional approval of the LEGION ACT, veterans who have served at least one day of active duty since December 7, 1941, and received an honorable discharge or are currently serving, are now eligible for membership in the American Legion. |
